SME Web Portal (SMEWP) Manual

Introduction :

The Government of Bangladesh believes in spurring efficient and inclusive growth of SMEs so as to seed new enterprises' formation, accelerate employment growth and reduce poverty. The SME Web Portal is the Government's key to that big picture.

Getting Started :

Registration Procedure :

Eventually, three types of registration will be available in this portal, namely :

· SME general User [at the moment, this will be the most important]

· Corporate User [ the SME Foundation would soon take a decision about the conditions for offering Corporate User rights.

· SME job seeker [ for those who are only interested in accessing the SMEWP for applying for jobs being advertised using our Job Portal.

Eligibility of General User-ship:

All small and medium enterprises can be registered as SME General user. The management has decided to charge an annual fee of Tk. 1200 per year.

How you register as a General User:

Please click the “register” link located at the left side of the “home page” of this portal. A registration form will be loaded as follows:

You have need to fill up the text boxes as appropriate and indicate to the systems that you want to register as a General User. Then please click on the “Send Registration” button. Your information will be saved on the portal database. An email will be sent to your email address with an activation link to your user account. Please go to your email and click that link and get activated . After activation you can log on to your SME account by your own username and password which you have given while registration.

Who all are SME corporate user if and when the SME Foundation activates it:

All kinds of small and medium level of companies and industries can be registered as SME General user. All types of SME general user are paid user. For payment information please read the payment terms and condition

How we can get registered as SME corporate user:

Please click the “registration” link located at left of the index page of SME PORTAL under the log in control panel. After clicking on registration link a new registration form will be loaded like the following fig:

Now you have fill up the text box boxes as per your requirement and choose type as SME Corporate . Then click on Send Registration button Your information will be saved to the SME portal database and one email will bent to your email address provided by you with a activation link to your SME account. Please go to your email and click that link and get activated . After activation you can log on to your SME account by your own username and password which you have given while registration.

How we can get registered as SME Job Seeker :

Now you have fill up the text box boxes as per your requirement and choose type as SME job seeker. Then click on Send Registration button Your information will be saved to the SME portal database and one email will bent to your email address provided by you with a activation link to your SME account. Please go to your email and click that link and get activated . After activation you can log on to your SME account by your own username and password which you have given while registration. Jobseeker is free membership system. They need not pay . But they won’t be able get all other paid feature.

After completing registration a jobseeker can view the jobs and they can apply for different jobs.

Login procedure:

After successful registration with the SME web portal you can log on here by the user name and password which you have been provided during registration. Login form is located at the right part of the sme portal home page.

In the form you have provide your correct username and password and then you have to click on login button. If your username and password is correct then it will be redirected to the home page .

How to recover password :

If you forget your password then you have to click the link Lost Password just below the login form of the home page. Then it will to take you to the following screen :

From here you can get access of SME photo gallery section. Here you will get photos by different category. Click on the category then it will redirected to detail page of the particular category. here you will get the image list of that particular category. And you can get large image to click on the particular image.

You can post comment aginst any image by clicking the Post comment link below the image.

You can rate an image .

You can send image as greetings card.

In the upper right side of the image you will get link tahat send as e-card. you have to click on that then it will be redirected to a new page with a new form loaded. Here you have to just type the recipients email address and your massages . Finally click on send button and your image will be send as greetings card to the recipients.
